The Past Is What You'll Never Get Back

Okay, this is for cpmcpm13 - who wanted me to draw a woman with a castle similar to Disney Castle - as thanks for donating. My apologies it took so long. And it's digital because I failed the traditional one. Luckily I had taken a photo of the sketch before so I was able to use it to this digital version. That's why it took even longer. I hope you like it.

The sketch

Not sure does she look more like a girl than a woman, but, well... I simply can't draw women. Xp Those clouds were the hardest part in this I guess and the castle was too much for my patience. It's difficult to desing buildings. Maybe I should draw more of them, because I never do...

I'm still pretty happy with this one. ^^
In my first vision I got from the idea, the woman/girl was dressed in red, there was some kind of yellow cloudy sky and the castle was behind her shining under sunlight. Still even that vision sounds pretty clear I had to come a long way to finally realize what I wanted it to look. At first I imagined this like the woman/girl and the castle would be inside of a round shaped thing, but I think it's better like this.
After that first vision I started to imagine her as a ghost who's looking to her past. Maybe that castle played a big role in her life once she lived. But what is happening in the picture is for you to imagine. What is that shining stone she's wearing? Is that water over there? If she really is a ghost or spirit, what happened to her? Let your imagination take a flight!



Time: Don't ask me, too many hours I can say... Well, I started doing it digitally 18.8 and finished it today.
Program used: ArtRage 4. And the most used tool in this is the Paint Roller.
Used this castle  and Disney Castle as references.
